While on a family trip at Holden Beach North Carolina we
took a visit to this place called Fort Apache. It is owned by a man named Dale
and is basically a junk yard. Dale gets most of his things from friends he has
in the theater business and he rents all of his stuff to people in the same
business. People making movies and shows or people making plays will go to
Dale's and rent things. There's so many things to see and take photos of I had
to go back for photos.
Dale himself has a very interesting story. In the 80s he
was working for his family's shrimp company and with the evils of drugs and
money he fell into the wrong path. Dale didn't do drugs but he started importing them on his boat. He ended up being caught and doing 10 years.
If you ever find yourself in
Supply, North Carolina or near it; stop by and have a talk with Dale. You won't
regret it and you may even learn a thing or two.
