Philly Philly Philadelphia

Last Friday I went with my photo class and the art class at our school to a place in Philadelphia called Globe Dye Works. For those of you who don't know, Globe Dye Works was an old yarn dyeing company which became shut down and then bought by artists and is now studio space for many artists some being residential. Some areas, however, have not been renovated and are still run down and still have many things that were left behind. There were many types of artists here such as sculptors, painters, photographers, culinary artists, and more.  

"Make Water Stains"

Throughout the course of the last week I have been exploring with the idea of "Make Water Stains". Water stains has many meanings such as the stain left on wood from the condensation of the glass or the writing on an image. I decided to take this further and not do just the basic water stains. I started with the thought of water and ways to stain water. I then proceeded with the idea of drops of food coloring in water and, after making a make shift light studio, these were the final products.
